Although not ceramic, my Fins project is included here for its direct link to my current practice and the profound meanings of water. FIns was a sculptural prosthetic project with a performance component.

I explored making prosthetic fins for 15 years. This making practice led me into a new relationship with water. The Fin project, and its research counterpart Inklings, form an ongoing exploration of the reminders and remainders of our evolutionary history, our aquatic origins and possible watery future.
